16mm Scale/32mm Gauge NWNGR Gladstone Coach
A model of a NWNGR passenger coach, that has been built from an IP Engineering kit. It has been built and painted to a very good standard, complete with matching transfers. The vehicle has had some weight added to the underside, and has been lightly used.
This coach was the first attempt to encourage tourist travel on any narrow gauge railway in Britain. The builders were the metropolitan railway & carriage company and was built in 1891. Mr Gladstone, then well over eighty, travelled on his way on holiday. Thereafter it was nicknamed the Gladstone car. The vehicle is complete with steel wheels and bogies. All interior has scale slatted seats and uses the latest laser cutting technology.
